How to Make Healthcare Accessible for All

People with disabilities don’t always receive the healthcare services they need, which can lead to poorer health outcomes throughout their lifetime. Being aware that barriers to receiving care exist is essential in order to address them through training, policy, and physical environment. This factsheet gives an overview of health gaps people with disabilities often experience, barriers to accessing healthcare services, and suggestions for removing or reducing those barriers.
